Common Uses
MICROSHIELD 2 is commonly used for antiseptic hand washing to kill loosely held bacteria and pathogens (disease-causing germs) on the skin.
It is also used as a body wash to decontaminate the skin by reducing the bacterial load present.
Use to wash the skin after scrapes and falls to the wound and prevent infection.
Directions
Use undiluted. If using as a hand wash, wet hands. Apply MICROSHIELD 2 to the skin and rub gently over all the surfaces of the hands including the spaces between the fingers. Rinse well and dry hands. For body washing, wet skin and apply MICROSHIELD 2 to a clean wash cloth or directly onto skin and work into a light lather all over the body, or a specific area of the body. Rinse off well and towel dry.
Ingredients
Active ingredients: Chlorhexidine gluconate 2% w/v.
Also contains tartrazine.
Warnings
Do not use if sensitive or allergic to chlorhexidine. For external use only.
Avoid contact with eyes and ears. If in eyes or ears, rinse thoroughly with water.
Mild irritation may occur, discontinue use if it becomes severe.
