General Information
The PainPod Heat is the world's first FDA cleared TENS device patented with Heat for the relief of muscle pain, arthritis pain and chronic pain. Heat and TENS are known to help relieve pain, however clinical studies have demonstrated this combination to be much more effective than TENS or Heat alone.
The PainPod Heat allows you to use TENS, EMS & Heat in isolation or combined.
This device can be worn while attached directly to the Heat Pad, or use the included wire attachment and use it as a hand held controller.
Only compatible with the PainPod Heat Pad and cannot be used with different pads or accessories.
Common Uses
To be used for temporary relief of pain associated with sore and aching muscles in the shoulder, waist, back, arm, and leg, due to strain from exercise or other activities.
It is also intended for symptomatic relief and management of chronic pain and relief of pain associated with arthritis.
To stimulate healthy muscles in order to improve and facilitate muscle performance. To be used for the improvement of muscle tone and firmness, and for strengthening muscles in the arms, abdomen, legs, and buttocks. Not intended for use in any therapy or for the treatment of any medical conditions or diseases.
It is also intended to temporarily increase local blood circulation in the healthy muscles of lower extremities
Directions
Step 1 – Connect pad to device OR to extension connector and attach extension connector to the device.
Step 2 - Clean skin, remove plastic film and attach the pad to the desired area on your body ensuring firm contact
Step 3 - Switch device on by pressing the ON/OFF switch for 3 seconds, the front display will light up as an indicator
Step 4 - Select the desired mode by touching M
There are 8 modes to select from with mode number shown on the display
Step 5 - Increase/Decrease intensity to a comfortable level by touching +/-
Step 6 - Select desired time duration by touching T
Default timer is set to 30 minutes and will adjust to 40, 50, 60, 10, 20, 30 minutes
Step 7 - Select the desired heat level
Level 1 is up to 40 oC, Level 2 is up to 43 oC, turn the heat off.
*Note: You can use Stimulation and Heat independently or simultaneously
Step 8 - Switch the device off by pressing the ON/OFF switch for 3 seconds when finished.
The device will switch off automatically once the countdown timer reaches zero.
Note if you tap the power button it will lock the touch screen, a padlock will illuminate and only the intensity minus function will work. Tap the power button again to unlock the touch screen.
Store at a temperature that would be comfortable for a human being, or somewhere between 5°C (41.0°F) and 27°C (80.6°F) with humidity at 35-50%.
