Common Uses
The Victor shoulder sling immobiliser is specifically designed to provide support, stabilisation, and restriction of movement for individuals experiencing injuries, surgeries, or conditions affecting the arm, elbow, or shoulder regions.
Directions
Step 1: Ensure the sling immobiliser is clean and free from damage. Check all straps, buckles, and attachments for secure fastening.
Step 2: Position the elbow in the pocket of the sling. The wrist and 3/4 of the hand should be supported in the pocket.
Step 3: The thumb may be placed in the thumb loop (if your immobiliser has one) to help maintain forearm alignment.
Step 4: Pass the neck (upper) strap over the opposite shoulder, through the O ring and double back to secure the velcro fastener. The padded support should rest evenly on the shoulders.
Step 5: Pass the waist (lower) strap around the waist, through the O ring and back on itself to secure.
Step 6: Check that the hand is resting slightly above the elbow or as directed by your healthcare practitioner and that the arm is well supported.
Step 7: Check that the fit is snug, comfortable, with no pressure points
The entire Victor Shoulder Immobilizer can be hand washed in lukewarm water with mild soap and air dried. Dry naturally. Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause skin irritation or deteriorate the material.

It is recommended that the immobiliser is first applied by or under supervision of a suitably qualified healthcare practitioner.
Always consult with a healthcare professional or seek medical advice if you have any concerns or uncertainties regarding the use of this device and before use in the case of lymphoedema or lymphatic disorders, skin diseases or irritations, circulatory or sensory disturbances.
The immobiliser should be snug but not compressive or impairing circulation.
Do not use over open wounds.
Discontinue use if you experience increased pain, swelling, discomfort, or any adverse reactions and seek advice from your healthcare practitioner.
Check packaging carefully and do not use if package is open or device is damaged.
