Allow the test cassette, urine specimen, and\/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature prior to testing. \u003cbr\u003e2. Remove the test cassette on a clean and level surface. \u003cbr\u003e3. Remove the cap from the end of the test card. With arrows pointing toward the urine specimen, immerse the strips of the test card vertically for at least 10-15 seconds. \u003cbr\u003e4. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well. Place the cassette on a non-absorbent flat surface, start the timer and wait for the red line(s) to appear. The results should be read at 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eINTERPRETATION OF RESULTS\u003cbr\u003eNEGATIVE: Two lines appear. One red line should be in the control region (C), and another apparent red or pink line should be in the test region (T). This negative result indicates that the drug concentration is below the detectable level. Note: The shade of red in the test (T) region may vary, but it should be considered negative whenever there is even a faint pink line. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePOSITIVE: One red line appears in the control region (C). No line appears in the test (T) region. This positive result indicates that the drug concentration is above the detectable level. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eINVALID: Control line fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new test cassette.
