EllaOne is Australia's most effective emergency contraceptive pill (morning after pill) [1,2]
If you've had unprotected sex, the condom broke, or if you forgot to take your regular contraceptive pill, you can help protect yourself from an unplanned pregnancy by taking EllaOne, the most effective emergency contraception pill (morning after pill).1,2
EllaOne is most effective when taken as soon as possible, but it can be used up to five days (120 hours) after unprotected sex.
The emergency contraceptive pill works by inhibiting or delaying ovulation. This means that sperm are unable to fertilise the egg and a possible pregnancy is prevented. If you are already pregnant, however, then the emergency contraceptive pill won't interrupt or impact your pregnancy.

Directions
Take one tablet orally as soon as possible, but within 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. Can be taken with or without food.

Warnings
Do not use:
• if you are already pregnant. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you are unsure.
• more than once during the same menstrual cycle. Consider using other contraceptive methods before sex.

• have any medical conditions
• are breastfeeding.
