Insert a new lancet into the lancet holder and push down firmly to secure it.\nRemove the protective cap from the lancet and save it for later use. Replace the top of the lancing device.\nChoose the desired depth of penetration. Pull the launcher to load the lancing device.\nPlace the lancing device firmly against the sample site and press the release button to launch the lancet.\nRemove the cap of the lancing device when finished. Put the protective cap back onto the exposed needle of the lancet.\nUsing the lancet ejector lever, slide in a forward motion to dispose of the lancet in an approved container.\nReturn the lancet ejector lever to its original position, then depress the release button. Put back the top of the lancet for next time use.  \n\nLancets:\nWash hands with soap and warm water or a suitable skin cleaning wipe. Dry well.\nLoad the lancet into a lancing device and twist off the protective cap\nChoose a spot on the side of a different finger each time you take a blood sample. Follow lancing device manufacturer's instructions for obtaining a blood sample.\nEject lancet from lancing device and snap-on safety cap before discarding. To minimize the pain of testing, change lancet after every use to ensure the least painful puncture.
