How does Caremax TENS Machine relief Period Pain?
Caremax machine is attached to gel pads which are placed on or around the lower stomach areas of the body. Once the TENS unit has been turned on and adjusted, gentle electrical pulses are delivered through the pads.
The electrical current provided from the device dulls the effect of the C fibres. These fibres are found underneath the skin to deliver information about any painful stimulus from the affected region (e.g. muscle spasms, inflammation, etc.) to the brain [1]. By cutting off the communication from the C fibres via the TENS Unit’s electrical pulses, the painful sensations are reduced and/or removed.
