Directions
Allergic Disorders
2 - 5 years: 5-15mL single dose or 5mL 2-3 times daily;
6 -12 years: 10-25mL single dose or 10mL 2-3 times daily;
Sedation
2 - 5 years: 5-15mL single dose at night;
6 -12 years: 10-25mL single dose at night;
For short-term use for sedation, on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use for more than 7-10 consecutive days.
Travel Sickness
2 - 5 years: 5mL;
6 -12 years: 10mL.
Single dose to be taken the night before travel and repeated after 6-8 hours on the following day if necessary.
Nausea and Vomiting
2 - 5 years: 5mL every 4 to 6 hours to a maximum daily dose of 15mL;
6 -12 years: 10mL every 4 to 6 hours to a maximum daily dose of 25mL.
Dosage may depend on the condition being treated and the individual response of the child. Give the lowest dose that adequately relieves symptoms. Ask your pharmacist for advice.
Ingredients
Each 5mL contains:
Promethazine hydrochloride BP 5mg.
Also contains:
Sodium benzoate, sodium sulfite and sodium metabisulfite.
Warnings
This product should not be used in children under 2 years of age, because the safety of such use has not been established.
This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle of operate machinery.
