General Information
The Rite Aid Medi-Bell is a safety dosage timer that attaches to medication packaging with its elastic bands, providing dosage alerts for the user to take their medication according to the prescribed dosage intervals. Providing reliable and timely reminders with audible alarms and visible LED-lights, the Medi-Bell helps you stay healthy and stay on time.
Directions
Attaching the Medi-Bell to Medication
1. Take the Medi-Bell and bend at the hinges and put it against the medication packaging. Do not bend the Medi-Bell further than 90°.
2. Stretch the band until one of the hook points reaches the hook on the bottom of the device.
3. Ensure that the band is not loose and is firmly attached to the packaging so that the device does not fall off easily.
Setting Up the Timer and Alarm
1. Switch on the Medi-Bell by pressing the power button. The LCD screen should turn on.
2. The LCD screen should start flashing and display “04:00” which means that the timer is ready to be set.
3. Press the up or down interval adjustment buttons until the desired dosage interval displays on the screen.
4. Press the green start button to start the countdown. The flashing should stop and the timer should begin counting down to “00:00”.
5. When the timer reaches “00:00”, the device will initially beep and flash for 1 minute to alert the user that it is time to take the next medication dosage.
6. When the medication has been taken, press the green start button again for 3 seconds to stop the alert and restart the countdown to the next dosage.
Before placing the Medi-Bell in storage, ensure that it is switched off and that the timer is not set. Leaving the timer on will drain the battery quickly.
Warnings
DO NOT attach together medication that are not meant to be taken in the same frequency. Each Medi-Bell can only provide alerts for one (1) time interval at a time.
DO NOT stretch the elastic band more than twice its original length. Ideally, the band should be kept up to 1.5 times its original length.
Ensure that a 5V 500mA or above power brick or adapter is used to ensure proper charging of the device.
