Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Wombat Pharmacy, we want your order to reach you safely, promptly and in great condition. This policy explains how we process, pack and deliver orders, the delivery options available, and what happens if something doesn't go to plan. As a community pharmacy, some of what we sell is medicine or a therapeutic good, so a few extra steps and checks apply to keep things safe and compliant. Questions? Where we deliver
We currently deliver within Australia only and cannot ship internationally at this time. We deliver to most residential and business addresses across NSW, VIC, QLD and the rest of Australia, subject to carrier coverage. Some remote and regional areas may take longer.
Delivery options
- Australia-wide delivery — sent nationwide using trusted carriers. Times and costs depend on your location and order size.
- Free local delivery — where offered, within the service areas around our stores. Availability, minimums and zones vary by store; your local store can confirm.
- Click & Collect — order online and collect from any of our 6 stores across NSW, VIC and QLD, usually ready in around 4 hours during trading hours. We'll let you know when it's ready; please bring your order confirmation and, where relevant, ID.
Order processing & dispatch
Most in-stock orders are processed within 1–2 business days (this can vary during busy periods, sales, public holidays or stock shortages). Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day. Some orders take longer where an item must be sourced or pharmacist review is required.
Prescription & pharmacist-checked items
Orders containing prescription medicines or items needing professional review are checked and, where applicable, dispensed by a pharmacist before release. This important safety step may add time, and we may contact you to confirm details or request a valid prescription. Some pharmacist-only and prescription items can only be supplied in line with Australian law and pharmacy practice.
Temperature-sensitive items
Some products need to be kept within a particular temperature range. Where an order contains temperature-sensitive items, we take extra care with packaging (which may include cold-chain or insulated packaging) and may adjust dispatch timing or delivery options. If you have concerns, contact us before ordering.
Carriers & estimated delivery windows
We use reputable carriers, which may include Australia Post and courier services. As a general guide only (examples, not guarantees): metro approx. 2–5 business days; regional approx. 4–8 business days; remote may take longer. These estimates begin once dispatched and exclude processing/pharmacist review. Any delivery costs and free-delivery thresholds shown at checkout apply to your order.
Tracking, incorrect addresses & issues
Where tracking is available, we'll send details once your order is dispatched. Please check your address carefully at checkout, as we can't redirect a parcel once dispatched; undeliverable orders will be followed up and re-delivery charges may apply. If your delivery arrives damaged, is incorrect or doesn't arrive, contact us at admin@wombatpharmacy.com.au as soon as possible — keep any packaging so we can help quickly. For safety, some medicines and temperature-sensitive goods may not be able to be re-sent if their integrity can't be assured.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
This policy is a general guide and does not limit or exclude your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including that products will be of acceptable quality and delivered within a reasonable time.
